When the KTM 1190 Adventure R was released it’s off-road ability was heralded, yet the 990 is still held as the legend. Something about all of that doesn’t seem quite right. We took an 1190 Adventure R, fitted some Mitas E10’s and headed to Southern Portugal with a three man test crew to see if years of development made a better bike.
